LAHORE: A United Kingdom delegation, led by Dr. Javed Iqbal Gondal, Chief Executive Officer of Brooke Pakistan visited a Khana Badosh nomadic settlement at Jatt Chowk, Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore. The delegation included Emma Bukcley, Howard Mundy, Steve, Clare, Daniel and Dr Imran Kabir.
The guests received a traditional welcome from Goad staff with bouquets, flower peals and drumbeats. They visited an eye camp where hundreds of residents received medical consultations, eye screening, treatment and free medicines. Goad Director Nazir Ghazi briefed them on recycled bags and environmental awareness.
The delegation also visited a school for children of equine owners, interacted with students, and appreciated their educational achievements. AT the Equine Welfare Center hey learned about healthcare services for working horses, donkeys and mules.
A cultural programme highlighted normadic and Brooke-Goad promising education and animal welfare. The event concluded with traditional turbans and commemorative shields to the distinguished guests.
